Learning the types and varieties of healthy whole foods, in a portioned controlled way has never been easier! Celebrity trainer and food mastermind Autumn Calabrese has made it simple for all of us to get a grip in the kitchen. I personally use this layout and it has turned into a second nature preparation for my meals. 

In a quick nutshell you have an amazing cook book (and cooking show on the Beachbody On Demand) that lists out food items broken down into categories. 

 

Red = Proteins

Yellow = Carbohydrates 

Purple = Fruits

Orange = Seeds and Dressings

Green = Vegetables 

Blue = Healthy Fats 

You calculate the calorie bracket you're currently in, which in turn gives you the amount of each category you should aim to eat each day. 

Example:

4 greens,

3 yellows

 4 reds

 1 oranges

 3 purples

  1 blue

You can break this down however you desire through the day for your meals/snacks, based upon the healthy food items listed in each category. 

Example: 

Breakfast

 2 Eggs = 1 Red

Spinach = 1 Green

Tomatoes =1 Green

Cheese = 1 Blue 

Equals One Yummy Scramble Egg Plate!

You have free items, such as spices and various water infusing blends. 

Eating this way will change your life! It'll carry over into all places of eating, including restaurants and social events. You'll get a new sense of what kind of foods and how much, which will empower you to not only see inner and outer results but to feel confident you have control again and enjoy how you eat.
